Edgewater Retirement Center Christmas Party |

The Annual Edgewater Methodist Retirement Center Christmas Party. Each year the Island Rotary Club sponsors their Christmas Party. We bring in Christmas music (Trinity Episcopal School Choir), refreshments (one of the photos will show that some of the eggnog is “enhanced”), and Santa Claus (a fellow Rotarian). As you’ll see, a good time was enjoyed by all. |

Galveston Children's Center Thanksgiving Dinner |

The Galveston Island Rotary Club provided and served Thanksgiving dinner to the residents and staff of the Galveston Children’s Center. Our goal was to cheer-up and provide lots of delicious food to those children who are truly in-need of this. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner consisted of turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed-potatoes, green-bean casserole, and lots of other goodies. These Rotarians truly enjoyed giving of themselves in this holiday season. |

Galveston Children's Center Thanksgiving |

Although most had not recovered from Ike’s devastation, these Rotarians visit the Galveston Children’s Center to assist those who are in-need of some cheering-up and some really good food.
You’ll notice that the majority of the smiling faces are of the Rotarians, as they truly enjoyed giving of themselves in this holiday season.
The residents and families enjoyed the good food, but they also enjoyed being able to share their stories with very interested and concerned Rotarians. |

Our Gift to The Children's Center |

The Galveston Island Rotary Club gives a new Honda Odyssey to The Children's Center of Galveston. This was presented at Sand Dollar Honda. The Island Rotary Club's infamous Golf Tournament (held annually at Texas' oldest Country Club) helps fund this type of project.
